Complaints Policy

The Editorial Board of the Journal of South Asian Issues (JSAI) is committed to addressing all complaints promptly, fairly, and constructively. Each complaint will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account its nature and complexity, and guided by the best practices and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

How to Submit a Complaint

Complaints or formal proposals should be submitted by email to: support@jsai.uk
All communications will be acknowledged and considered within thirty working days. Depending on the complexity of the issue, additional time may be required to resolve it.

Requirements for Complaints

Complaints should be clear, specific, and include sufficient information to demonstrate a potential breach of the journal’s publication ethics. Whenever possible, please provide supporting documentation to substantiate the concern.

Scope and Limitations

Complaints falling outside the scope of the journal, such as personal grievances against authors, editors, reviewers, or members of the editorial board, will receive a response explaining why the matter does not fall within the journal’s responsibility.

Additionally, the journal maintains the right to reject complaints submitted in an offensive, threatening, or defamatory manner.
