Retraction and Correction Policy

The Journal of South Asian Issues (JSAI) demonstrates a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. Retractions, corrections, or withdrawals are handled in line with best practices and COPE guidelines.

Retractions and Corrections

Articles may be retracted or corrected in cases such as:

  • Unreliable results due to errors or misconduct

  • Duplicate publication without proper citation

  • Authorship or ethical violations

  • Compromised peer review processes

If retraction is required, the published article will be clearly marked with a “Retraction” watermark and title. A formal retraction notice, signed by the editors and assigned a DOI, will also be published.

Author-Initiated Requests

Authors may request to withdraw their manuscript before publication by submitting a signed letter explaining their reasons. Withdrawn manuscripts are removed from the journal’s system, and copyright remains with the authors.

Investigation Process

In cases of suspected misconduct, the journal will conduct an investigation and contact authors for clarification. Based on findings, actions may include rejection (for manuscripts under review), correction notices, or retraction.
